Rockford Speedway officials have released the Competition Guide and Entry Form for the 26th Annual Bahama Bracket Nationals, set to take place Saturday and Sunday October 14 and 15.
The ever popular Bahama Bracket Nationals gives the winner of the A and AA Bracket features their choice of $1500 or $1000 of prize money or a trip for two to the Bahamas! All cars must qualify on Saturday afternoon and after qualifying is complete, cars are split into brackets with cars of like speed, meaning dirt cars may race against asphalt cars, Sportsman may race against Mini Stocks, etc etc. This unique twist provides some of the fiercest racing action found anywhere during the racing season. Heats and ‘Bash Races’ are run for all racers on Saturday night, advancing cars to their Sunday afternoon feature races. Sunday afternoon includes Last Chance racing, and Features for all brackets and the Fabulous Foo Foo Race for fun and prizes!
NEW for 2017 is “Dance To Advance,” where drivers who’ve not yet locked into a Sunday feature have a chance to advance onward by dancing Saturday night as part of the ‘Last Blast Race Party.’ “Dance To Advance” replaces ‘Sing For Your Start.” Also new for 2017 is the ‘Beach Party Bonus,’ where the first 100 pre-entered drivers receive a Bahama Beverage Buck redeemable Saturday night at the Last Blast Race Party.
As for race distances, A & AA Bracket racers will once again run 50 lap Features on Sunday, while AAA & AAAA Bracket racers will go 40 Laps. The B Bracket Main Event is again 35 laps, while the BB Bracket feature race is set for 25 laps.
Entry forms for both the Bahama Bracket Nationals are available online at www.rockfordspeedway.com.
