The final event of the 2016 racing season takes place this Sunday afternoon October 23 at Rockford Speedway, with the 36th running of the Goblin 250! The race features over 100 four cylinder cars in a 250 lap free-for-all where both speed and survival are the name of the game! And don’t worry about the weather, the Goblin 250 takes place rain or shine! After the Goblin 250, the season ends in ‘smashing’ fashion with the ‘Big Swarm’ Demo Derby! All the action on-track gets going at 1 PM Sunday, don’t miss it!

There will be activities for the kids Sunday afternoon at Rockford Speedway, so make sure to bring the whole family! Prior to the start of racing, a Kid’s Costume Contest will be held on track at 12:40 PM. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween Costumes and are be invited to step onto the track to take part in the contest, showing off their costumes to all in attendance. Then, when the Goblin 250 hits halfway at lap 125, the cars will head to the pit area for the ‘Halfway Break,’ and when the cars clear the track, Kids 11 and under are invited onto the front stretch for a Kids Candy Scramble!
