LOVES PARK, IL. (Saturday, June 6, 2009) – Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts, the Kar Korner World Famous Trailer Race will still try to tame the high-banked quarter mile Rockford Speedway tonight. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will also be in action with all four divisions on the schedule, including an expected 20 late model entries. According to Weather.com, the current system of precipitation in the area will move out by 2:30pm, clearing the way for a great night at the races.
There will be a full slate on deck as the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers and Mtn Dew RoadRunners all take on the high-banked quarter mile along with the Sam’s Drive-In RoadRunner Challenge featuring the Escape from I-90 Race. The night will close with the Kar Korner World Famous Trailer Race. The exciting racing action gets underway at 7:07pm with gates opening at 5pm and qualifying beginning at 5:45pm.
