LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, June 13, 2009) – Tim Noble took advantage of his great starting position and held off a late charge from defending champion Jerry Gille to collect his first career Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models feature victory at the Rockford Speedway tonight. Noble started on the point and felt the heat at the end, flipping his mirror around with five laps left, but he had enough speed to take home the top spot. George Sparkman, Larry Dickinson II, Ernie Schall and Jacob Van Wazer also brought home feature wins.

Tim Noble and rookie Mikie Breiner brought the 14 car Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model field to the green flag. Noble grabbed the lead entering turn one of the 30-lap main event and quickly built up a sizable lead on Breiner.

Just four laps in, “Driver X”, Jon Reynolds Jr., worked from his seventh place starting spot into the third position. Six circuits later, Reynolds Jr. used the low line to take second away from Breiner and brought defending champion Jerry Gille with him into third.

The caution flew on lap 17 for an unassisted Tom Gille spin in turn one that collected Dave Edwards and ended both drivers’ nights early. Jerry Gille used the restart to take second and Bilderback followed suit, working his way by Reynolds Jr. on the high side for third. Bilderback and Gille took turns racing each other as Noble held off a hard-charging Gille for his first feature win of the season.

“This feels great, I have to thank my crew for getting this car right, it’s just awesome,” an elated Noble stated in victory lane. “I had those three heavy hitters (Bilderback, Gille, and Reynolds Jr.) behind me and I just turned the mirror towards me and tried to hold them off. This win is a testament to my team and the work they do.”

Bilderback, Reynolds Jr. and Nick Shutkas finished the top five.

George Sparkman brought the 19 car Budweiser American Short Tracker field to the green for their 25-lap feature event and never looked back, turning in a strong performance and leading wire-to-wire to collect his first feature win of the season.

Sparkman built up an early lead as the battle would be for second between rookie Matt Booker and Nick Cina Jr. The two went side-by-side for ten laps before Cina Jr. finally managed to grab the runner-up spot with six circuits remaining.

Billy McCoy and rookie Scott Hoeft rounded out the top five.

Larry Dickinson II brought home his third feature win of the season in the Mtn Dew RoadRunners 20-lap headliner, topping 24 other cars to take the trophy.

Gene Marocco, Robert Roush, Bobby Frisch and Dana Czach Jr. completed the top five.

Ernie Schaal took the top spot away from Erle Hoth at the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap Super Cup Pro feature and survived a late caution for the victory. Schaal held off late charges from Hoth and Jim Termanas to collect the win.

Jeff Myers and Erik Gerhke collected top five’s.

Jacob Van Wazer grabbed the lead at the beginning of the 15-lap feature for the Super Cup Juniors and never let up, going the distance for the win.

Second went to Jacob Zellmer, who couldn’t quite catch up to Van Wazer, while Tyler Brown and Jordan Wendt came home in third and fourth.
