Loves Park, IL- Three high flying Monster Trucks will be part of the Budweiser Night of Thrills this Saturday night, September 19 at Rockford Speedway. For the first time, the event featured on national television will encompass races as well as an all out freestyle competition during the Monster Truck Showdown between Big Dawg, Mechanical Mischief and The Felon.
“I have a lot of friends and family ready to come watch me Saturday night.” Commented Mechanical Mischief pilot Jim Burns from his Rockford, IL shop. “I am excited to be part of this great show in my hometown.” Speed TV analyst Mark Schroeder will be behind the wheel of The Felon, he has become known for his extreme wheelies across the quarter mile oval’s infield. Both Burns and Schroeder will have their hands full as fan favorite Doug Noelke returns with his 800 horse power Big Dawg Monster Truck to challenge for the title.
Joining the Monster Trucks on the card will be Doug Rose and his World Record Green Mamba Jet Car, a Limo Wedding Cake Jump, the Roll Over Contest, Burning Steel Wall Crash, Horrific Head On Collision, Spectacular Drags, Dukes of Hazzard Jumping Contest, Skid Cars, Hornet Championship, Gauntlet and more. For those arriving early there will be Free Monster Truck Rides from 5 until 6:30. Adult reserved tickets are $18 with ages 11 and under $9.
