NASCAR Hometown Night for Loves Park and Machesney Park

Loves Park, IL (August 27, 2010) Residents of Loves Park and Machesney Park can receive two for one admission at Rockford Speedway this Saturday, with proof of residency. The nights events will include the Beatin’ N’ Bashin’ Boat Race, Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, American Super Cups, plus Fan/Driver Egg Toss, and the Kids Mini Grand Prix.

The Mtn Dew RoadRunner division is packed with local drivers, from Loves Park there’s Jason Van Hise, Joshua Lundy, Anthony Lloyd and Linnea Lundy, and from Machesney Park there’s “Hotrod” Lloyd Hawkins, Jason Brockway, Kyle Watts, Mike Wallis and “Gentleman“ Gene Marocco. Marocco is coming off of a second place finish from last weeks RoadRunner feature, the veteran driver proves age is just a number.

American Short Tracker driver Rachel Sparkman of Loves Park will be battling it out against her uncle, BJ Sparkman of Machesney Park. BJ is coming off of a third place finish in last weeks feature. Rachel is only the second woman to win an American Short Tracker Feature in the history of the division.
