LOVES PARK, Ill. (November 6th, 2010) – It simply wouldn’t be a party if Tim Sargent couldn’t have his cake and eat it too. And the 2010 Rockford Speedway Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models champion will get the chance to do just that on Saturday, January 22nd at the Forest Hills Lodge adjacent to the race track. Joining Sargent will be Big 8 Series titlist Jeremy Miller, fresh off his record-setting third crown, as well as a host of other track champions from an exciting year of racing action at the legendary quarter-mile oval.
The final touches will be put on the 2010 season with the 63rd annual Champions’ Banquet as each division champ will be on hand to accept their respective hardware and honors for their special seasons. Several drivers besides the champions will be in attendance as well, taking one last look back at the year that was before sneaking a peek towards 2011 and the 64th consecutive year of action at the facility.
An array of awards will be handed out during the evening, ranging from division and champion’s trophies to special achievement honorees. The awards ceremony will commence in the early evening with entertainment and dancing to follow. Dinner will be served to attendees.
A suit or sport jacket is the proper attire for men, with a tie required. Tickets are required for admission to the event.
