This Saturday night is one big event you don’t want to miss this summer at Rockford Speedway. After an all out, push it to the limits night of racing last Saturday, the drivers will be even hungrier this week as it is Round III of the Gilley’s Cool 5 Series. Special event pricing courtesy of Tebala Shrine will allow up to 2 adults and up to 4 students and/or children into this event for just $30. Racing action includes the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Miller Lite American Short Trackers, RockStar Energy RoadRunners and the Sam’s Drive-In RoadRunner Smokey Burnouts.
Spectator Gates open at 5, qualifying begins at 5:55 with the Stateline Staffing Services Dashes going green at 7:07pm. Adult general admission tickets are just $12, students ages 12-17 are $8, kids 6-11 $5 with children ages 5 and under admitted free.

TWO DRIVERS FROM WORST TO FIRST
Driver X Jon Reynolds, Jr and Nick Cina, Jr both took different routes to put themselves in victory lane last Saturday night. Reynolds accepted the Gerber Collision & Glass Challenge after qualifying second, placing his Chevrolet at the tail of the Late Model field. Cina found trouble in the first American Short Tracker session when his axle broke, however he and his crew continued to work and by feature time there was no stopping his Ford. Reynolds collected a $1,300 bonus for his efforts while Cina finds himself closer to the top of the point standings. All told these drivers passed 32 cars in 55 laps utilizing the inside line.

ONE LUCKY FAN COULD WIN $1,750 SATURDAY
Fans are invited to register in the Gilley’s Pick 4 Contest this Saturday July 28. Of the fans that correctly choose the top four finishers in the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Model feature, one fan will be drawn at random to take home the big prize courtesy of Gilley’s Heating and Cooling.

As a special Wild Wednesday treat, the Figure 8’s and Bandits will contest double feature contests during Equipment Depot Wild Wednesday on August 1. The RoadRunner Super Summer Series, Bandits, Winged Women on Wheels, MacCloskey Kesler & Associates Spectacular Drags, Figure 8’s and Misfits as well as the Hare ‘N Hound Race will all be in action. Adult general admission tickets are $8, students ages 12-17 $6, ages 6-11 are $4 with kids 5 and under free. Gates open at 5:30, qualifying at 6:25 first race is at 7:07pm. Each and every Wild Wednesday night is Miller Lite Dollar Beer Night.
