LOVES PARK, IL (Wednesday, July 09, 2008) - Alex Papini, Matt Mangiaracina, John Beinlich, Robin Ulrey, Max McNamara, and Chris Gantz took home feature wins on Equipment Depot Wild Wednesday at the Rockford Speedway.

Josh Lundy grabbed the early lead in the RoadRunner Super Summer Series 25-lap feature. Lundy would be challenged early by Papini. The two would break away from the pack by lap 5.

Papini got on the inside of Lundy on lap 9 to take over the top spot coming off of turn two. Lundy would then be challenged by Charlie Frisch for second.

With 10 laps to go, it became a three car battle for the lead between Papini, Lundy and Frisch with Papini still out front. But the caution would fly on lap 17 as Kyle Watts would make hard contact with the wall in turns one and two. He was alright but done for the night.

Papini would continue to lead on the re-start while Frisch challenged Lundy for second.

Lundy would get away from Frisch and would get on Papini’s back bumper but the checkered flag fell giving Papini the win. Frisch was third with Gene Marocco in fourth.

Alan Bekielewski and Matt Mangiaracina put on a great battle for the lead in the 15-lap Crap Scrapper Hornet feature event. Bekielewski would have the lead with five laps to go. Mangiaracina would get on the inside of Bekielewski to challenge for the lead. But Bekielewski would hold on.

On the last lap, Mangiaracina would get on the inside of Bekielewski going into turn two and would come out of the infield with the lead to come around to take the win. Roger Schultz was third.

Beinlich was able to get by Dwight Dunlap on lap 5 to take the lead and the win in the Allison Legacy feature. He would pull away to take the feature win with Dunlap holding on to second. Austin Mennen was third with Dave Cooter, Jr. in fourth. Bill Fox rounded out the top five.

Robin Ulrey and Rachel Sparkman put on a great side-by-side battle in the early going of the 12-lap feature for the Stateline Staffing Service Winged Women on Wheels feature event.

Ulrey had a good lead until caution flew lap 5 for Olivia Chance who developed engine problems and stopped on the track. Ulrey continued to lead all the way to the checkered flag. Laura Siarkiewicz got past Sparkman for second.

McNamara was chased by Matt Booker throughout the 15-lap feature event for the INEX Legends. But by the halfway point, McNamara had a comfortable lead to take home the feature win. Booker was second with Michael Cooter in third. Brandon Heisler was fourth.

Chris Gantz continued to show his dominance in the Figure 8 feature as he took home another win holding off Tom Schneider.

Mike Autry won the Spectator Drags in his Ford Mustang.

The Green Mamba Jet Car returns this Saturday night as part of Bobcat of Rockford Mid-Summer’s Night Scream. The Felon Monster Truck will be here along with the Crap Scrapper Hornets, Spec Drags, Skid Cars, Figure 8 Train Race, Smokey Burnouts, Air Bag Explosion, Roll Over Contest and the Bobcat Parade of Power. Plus, be here to see round one of Championship Auto Soccer. The action gets underway at 7:07 pm.
