SPEEDWAY SUPPORTERS ENCOURAGED TO DONATE TO THOSE EFFECTED BY HURRICANE HARVEY THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

By now you’ve witnessed the scenes in Texas following the catastrophic storm known as Hurricane Harvey.

Experts are calling it a ‘1000 year flood,’ as the super-storm deposited nearly 50 inches of rain in parts of southeastern Texas and altered the lives of millions of people.

With this in mind, the Deery family and officials at Rockford Speedway are donating to the cause and hoping racing fans, drivers, crews and speedway supporters will pitch in and do the same.

The following items are needed by those who’ve been effected by Hurricane Harvey…

Personal Care Items
Diapers
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Soap
Shampoo
Deodorant
Feminine Hygiene

School Supplies
Backpacks
Markers
Crayons
Notebook Paper
Scissors
Glue sticks

Those wanting to help are encouraged to bring their donations to the Speedway this Saturday night September 2 on Windsor Auto Sales Night. A Donation Box will be set up near the Main Ticket Gate. Main Gates open at 5 PM Saturday night.

If you are unable to make it to the races on Saturday night but still would like to donate, you items may be dropped off during regular business hours at the Rockford Speedway Main Office.

Let’s help those in need who have been effected by one of the worst natural disasters of our time and show everyone how strong our racing family truly is!
