Race teams can now find all the information they need in regards to the Oct 1-3, 2010 National Short Track Championships online at www.rockfordspeedway.com. Twelve divisons including Super Late Models, Big 8 Late Models, Mid-American Stock Cars, Illini Racing Series Midgets and Sportsman will take to the legendary track for the 45th running of this historic event. Super Late Model teams will be glad to know the Racer's Economic Stimulus Package is once again being offered, with drivers competing in last year's event having the first option to take advantage of this offer.

Rockford, IL- The 45th annual National Short Track Championships are slated to take place October 1, 2 and 3 at Rockford Speedway featuring 12 divisions of racing action. In addition to the region's only 4 barrel Super Late Model event and the Big 8 Late Models, fans will enjoy the addition of the Illini Midgets as well as the Figure 8. A complete schedule of events and divisions has been posted on the Rockford Speedway website. Competitor information will be released complete with details of the Super Late Model Economic Stimulus, in mid-August.

Over 30 BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet limited late models are in the pits right now and they are joined by over 30 super late models as the 44th annual National Short Track Championships are underway with on-track activities. The first session of rotating practice has gotten off to a quick start as all divisions are getting time to warm up to the high-banks of the historic Rockford Speedway. The weather has dried up and the radar's looking clear for the racing program this evening.
