Loves Park, IL- Jerry Gille was honored for his first career Rockford Speedway Championship in the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Saturday January 24, 2009 at Forest Hills Lodge. After falling just one point shy of the title in 2007, Gille topped seven time defending track Champion Ricky Bilderback and a host of other contenders to add his name to Rockford Speedway’s rich history.

Rockford, IL- Lefthander Chassis and the Midwest Racer’s Auction and Trade Show announced today a joint effort to provide the Racer’s Winter Get-A-Way Destination on Friday January 9 and Saturday January 10, 2009. With both organizations hosting short track racing industry events just five minutes apart in the greater Rockford area, a Weekend Racer’s Pass is being offered to attendees for just $12.

By purchasing the Weekend Racer’s Pass, guests will be able to enjoy all that the 29th annual Midwest Motorsports Racers’ Auction and Trade Show offers as well as numerous activities at the Lefthander Chassis compound just minutes north on Interstate 90. This discount pass will allow access to each event for both days.

LOVES PARK, IL (Sunday, October 12, 2008) – Mother Nature graced the Rockford Speedway with Bahamas type weather as it hosted the 17th Annual Bahama Bracket Nationals. John Paul Odegaard, Billy Robinson, Brad Warthan, and Ed Klug took home bracket feature wins in the traditional fall event.

Brad Warthan came to Rockford on his last dollar and won the "AAAA" bracket win. Of course he took the cash over the trip.

John Paul Odegaard got past Mark Pleur on the last lap and won the "A" bracket by a bumper. He took the cash.

LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, October 11, 2008) – It’s one of the more unique fall racing events in the Midwest as Rockford Speedway gets the 17th Annual Bahama Bracket Nationals underway. Over 170 cars are on hand to compete in the two day event.

It got underway on Saturday afternoon with qualifying. Tim Sargent set a fast time of 14.322 seconds with a total of 138 cars qualifying. Ed Klug set the fast time in the Hornet division with a time of 17.102 seconds, the best time out of 31 competitors.
