LOVES PARK, IL (Friday, September 26, 2008) – For the second year in a row, a seven-time track champion won the Weekly Warrior Late Model feature win at the 43rd Annual National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway. Bob Hansberry, BJ Sparkman, Jon Logan Jr. and Chester Ace also took home NSTC wins on the opening night of the three day event.

STOUGHTON, WI – In case you haven’t noticed, the Midwest is currently wrapping up its 2008 season with end of year multi-day specials. The one that started it all happens this weekend with the 43rd Annual National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway.

Rockford, IL- Forty Super Late Model competitors have officially filed their entries for the 43rd annual National Short Track Championships which will be contested September 26-28 at Rockford Speedway. These forty drivers will receive the Economic Stimulus Package which includes four Hoosier Tires, $125 Sunoco Racing Fuel credit as well as the Lefthander Chassis Racer’s Bonus Pack which is worth over $300.

Rockford, IL- Rockford Speedway officials announced an Economic Stimulus Package like no other for Super Late Model teams participating in the 43rd National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway September 26-28. The first forty teams to file the fifty dollar entry for this historic event will receive four Hoosier tires, a one hundred twenty five dollar Sunoco Racing Fuel credit plus a reserved pit stall for the weekend once they arrive at the event.

Sunday, September 30, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – For a lot of racers, a win is more satisfying when they pass cars to win, rather than start up front and lead all the laps. Jeremy Lepak had that kind of a run today as he moved from his 12th starting position to take home his second consecutive National Short Track Championship at the Rockford
Speedway. Also, Mike Lloyd held off Ricky Bilderback to win the Del Taco Feature Winners Invitational.

Bilderback Claims Overall Title for the Second Year in a Row

Saturday, September 29, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Ricky Bilderback claimed the overall win in the Big 8 Series Twin 58-lap feature at the second day of the 42nd Annual National Short Track Championships at the Rockford Speedway. Ryan Carlson and Jeremy Miller would each claim a feature win.

Carlson made up for his second place overall finish at Jefferson by taking home the Stanley Steemer 58-lap feature event, the first of two feature events for the Big 8 Series.

Lensing sets fast time in NST Super Late Models

Saturday, September 29, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Fred Nason won his fourth straight NSTC feature in two years on the second day of the 42nd Annual National Short Track Championships. Fred Oswald picked up his first USST Super Truck win and Jimmy Robinson won a close Hobby Stox feature.

Nason continues his NSTC streak by defending his Area Sportsman win.

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – For the past two years, Johnny Senerchia has been the headline driver of the Mid-American Stock Car Series at the Rockford Speedway in Love’s Park, IL. Senerchia, who’s absence was well noticed in the Spring Opener will return to Rockford this Sunday, September 30th to defend his Chicago International National Short Track Championships feature win.

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Rockford Speedway officials have confirmed that seven-time track champion, Bobby Wilberg, will return to this weekend's 42nd Annual Chicago International Trucks National Short Track Championship and compete in six divisions over the three days.

Wilberg will be driving Jon Reynolds Sr.'s late model and his Barracuda this weekend. "Heck, I don't know what year that car is," Wilberg stated when asked about the 'Cuda. "All I know is that Jon asked me to drive it and I said why not."
