Loves Park, IL (August 22, 2010) Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model drivers seemed to be on their best behavior with only one caution during the 30 lap feature. The caution was brought out on lap nine, when Jake Gille and Mike Lloyd got into each other on the back stretch while battling for the lead. Both cars were sent to the back, and racing resumed with Mikie Breiner in first and Jon Reynolds Jr. in second. The top five cars were tightly packed for the remainder of the race.

Loves Park, IL (August 18, 2010) This Saturday residents of Byron, Oregon and Stillman Valley, IL can receive two for one admission with proof of residency at Rockford Speedway. The racing action will include the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, Super Cups plus the Driver’s Bike Race.

Loves Park, IL (August 18, 2010) Youngsters will want to head to Rockford Speedway this Saturday night for the QFL Great Bike Give-A-Way during the final Kid’s Night of the season. Children ages 11 and under will be admitted into the races FREE to witness the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, Super Cups plus the Sam’s Drive-In Drivers Bike Race, racing action begins at 7:07.

The entry form for the 19th annual Bahama Bracket Nationals are now available at www.rockfordspeedway.com. The event taking place at Rockford Speedway October 16 and 17 is a favorite amongst true grassroots racers as it groups cars together by their speed, not division, providing some of the most intense racing seen all season long. New for 2010 is a 4 cylinder only division, What Happens at the Bahamas, Stays at the Bahamas!

Race teams can now find all the information they need in regards to the Oct 1-3, 2010 National Short Track Championships online at www.rockfordspeedway.com. Twelve divisons including Super Late Models, Big 8 Late Models, Mid-American Stock Cars, Illini Racing Series Midgets and Sportsman will take to the legendary track for the 45th running of this historic event. Super Late Model teams will be glad to know the Racer's Economic Stimulus Package is once again being offered, with drivers competing in last year's event having the first option to take advantage of this offer.

The racing action will include the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, the Australian Pursuit plus the Late Model Match Race.

Loves Park, IL (August 11, 2010) This Saturday the Late Model drivers will battle against each other in the Match Race. The participating drivers are those currently in the top eight points positions, Tim Sargent, Jon Reynolds Jr., Jerry Gille, Mike Lloyd, Eddie May, Jacob Gille, Wayne Freimund, and Mikie Breiner.

The drivers are already looking forward to the showdown, points leader Tim Sargent driver of the 39 said, “It’s going to be fun, it’ll be different”.

Loves Park, IL (August 8, 2010) Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model veteran Tom Gille showed he may not be a weekly regular, but he can sure get the job done. Gille took the lead on the first lap and stayed there for the entire 30 lap feature.

With Tom Gille in the lead, points leader Tim Sargent was making a move on fourth place Eddie May, successfully making the pass. Jerry Gille also passed May for fifth place and then began battling Sargent for fourth with 22 laps to go, Gille successfully passed Sarget for fourth.
