Loves Park, IL- Severe storms ripped through much of Northern Illinois Friday night, leaving many in the surrounding areas picking up branches and various debris early this morning. Luckily, Rockford Speedway missed the worst of the storms and will be in operation at 7:07pm tonight for the running of the Nason’s Landscaping Trailer Race of Destruction presented by Kar Korner.

Loves Park, IL (June 16, 2010) The Original Trailer Race of Destruction and the Illini Midgets return to Rockford Speedway this Saturday for the Nason’s Landscaping Father’s Day Special. The racing action will also include the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Mtn Dew RoadRunners and the Sam’s Drive-IN Hare ‘N Hound.

Loves Park, IL (June 13, 2010) The kick off for Wednesday night racing will be June 16 at 7:07 pm with Belly Buster Night. Admission plus all you can eat for the low price of $16. Each of the concession stands will feature a special menu for Belly Buster Night plus dollar Beer’s.

The racing action will include the RoadRunner Super Summer Series, Crap Scrappers Hornets, Winged Women on Wheels, Fig 8, Spectacular Drags, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Allison Legacy Cars, and the Sam’s Drive In RoadRunner Challenge Double Spin to Win.

Loves Park, IL (June 9, 2010) This Saturday night at Rockford Speedway is Kid’s night, children ages 11 and under will be admitted free. There will be plenty of excitement to keep the youngsters entertained. The concourse will feature a 4-H ice cream stand as well as a cow kissing booth.

Kid’s Stock Car Rides will be available before the feature races. The racing action will include Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, Super Cups plus the Sam’s Drive In RoadRunner Challenge Stop ‘N Go Race.

Loves Park, IL (June 9, 2010) Residents of Huntley 60142, Marengo 60152 and Union 60180, Illinois can receive two for one admission at Rockford Speedway this Saturday night with proof of residency. There will be kid’s stock car rides, 4-H Ice Cream and Cow Kissing Booth at the track.

This Saturday’s racing action will include the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, a return of the Super Cups as well as the Sam’s Drive In RoadRunner Challenge Stop ‘N Go Race.

The June 5 Kar Korner Original Trailer Race of Destruction at Rockford Speedway has been postponed to Saturday night June 19 due to rain. Racing action will include the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, Illini Open Wheeled Midgets, the Sam’s Drive-IN Hare ‘N Hound race plus the Trailer Race of Destruction on June 19. Tickets originally purchased for the June 5 event will be honored June 19, the main grandstand will be reserved seating with adult tickets available for $18, ages 11 and under $9.

Loves Park (June 2, 2010) Saturday night will see the return of the Trailer Race of Destruction to the historic ¼ mile track. Chuck Deery, son of Rockford Speedway owner Jody Deery, first introduced the trailer race to America and the spectators at Rockford Speedway in 1984 and it has been a fan favorite since. Deery first encountered the trailer race concept in Europe, and knew they’d be a hit back home. As soon as he returned home he told his brother Tom about the idea and they began preparations for the first trailer race at the Speedway.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, May 29th, 2010) – Jerry Gille has a thing for close shaves, whether it be on the track or in the points standings, and a night of 3-D racing excitement at the Rockford Speedway saw another one as the venerable veteran made a buttery smooth last lap pass to edge Tim Sargent at the checkers. Gille collected his second consecutive Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models feature victory and continued his charge for a third consecutive championship, laying down a blistering fast lap in the twilight and running out front throughout the duration of the evening, narrowing his points gap amidst a fitting backdrop of Memorial Day weekend fireworks.
