Kar Korner's World Famous Trailer Race Night was everything it was anticipated to be Saturday night at the Rockford Speedway. A solid field of race cars put on a great racing show. The large crowd brought out the competitive side of the racers on this night as well, and the sparks did fly on more than one occasion.

Racing in the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models has been as close as ever this year. With only three repeat winners on the year, and 10 different winners in 14 events, it is truly a toss up any given Saturday as to who will master the divisions' 30 lap feature event. On this Saturday night, a familiar face would return to victory lane, and become the eleventh different Late Model feature winner.

Curtis Nighswonger was quickest to pull the trigger in the RoadRunner Super Summer Series feature event but would lose the handle on the top spot to Ken Brazee five laps into the Equipment Depot 25 and quickly fade. Brian Mayer held second for a moment until Robert Roush hustled on the low line into second and then into first on lap eight. At halfway Terrance Robinson had captured second with Alex Papini following into third before an Adam Cartwright and Mayer incident brought out the caution. Roush took command once again and never looked back on his way to victory number two on the season. Terrance Robinson held off a determined Papini for second, Gene Marocco fought his way to fourth and Arlyn Roush ended the night in the fifth position in front of a large Wild Wednesday crowd.
