LOVES PARK, Ill. (Friday, January 22nd, 2010) -- The 2009 Rockford Speedway racing season will officially come to a close tomorrow night, as the Forest Hills Lodge will play host to the 62nd annual Champions' Banquet. All 2009 season champions at the historical quarter-mile, including Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models victor Jerry Gille, will be on hand, accepting the trophies and respective honors for their special seasons. Also in attendance will be 2009 BRP Big 8 Series Champion Ross Kenseth and his fellow contingent of Big 8 Series award winners from the past season.

Rockford, IL- Multiple racetracks as well as the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet will utilize the new Hoosier 800 eight inch implement tire in 2010 for Weekly Late Model racing in Illinois and Wisconsin. The Hoosier Racing Tire compound will be utilized Fridays at Madison International Speedway and Saturday nights at Dells Raceway Park as well as Rockford Speedway.

Loves Park, IL-Race fans should mark Sunday afternoon April 18, on their 2010 calendars. Rockford Speedway will play host to both the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet Late Models and Mid-American Stock Car Series during the 33rd annual Spring Classic on that day, bringing the Midwestern Short Track Community from hibernation to fascination.

Loves Park, IL- The sound of engines roaring around the quarter mile high banked Rockford Speedway oval will fill the springtime air for the sixty-third consecutive season on Saturday afternoon April 10, 2010. A 200 lap enduro race which saw eighty five competitors this past year, will headline the opening day festivities, with a 3pm start.

Loves Park, IL (November 11, 2009)- Just two weeks after the conclusion of a successful 2009 season at Rockford Speedway, preparations are already underway for next year. Speedway crews have been replacing many sections of wall that were impacted during racing action this past season, while the Rockford Best Seal & Stripe crew has been filling various seems around the historic quarter-mile high banked paved oval.
