LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, July 16th, 2011) -- Jerry Gille's at it again; the two-time Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model champion is piecing together another customary midseason surge behind a dominant fast time, an easy dash win, and a break that at the midway point of the 30-lap main event that enabled the veteran to roll to a convincing victory tonight.

After a caution at the halfway mark allowed Gille to escape lapped traffic, he zoomed to the front on the restart and got around his brother, Tom, before cruising to his third trophy of the season. The triumph slashed Jerry Gille's deficit in the points standings as the veteran continues to apply pressure to top dog Ryan Carlson.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, July 9th, 2011) -- To win any championship in short track racing, it takes a lucky break or two falling your way; openly admitting he didn't have the best car a week after wrecking, points leader Ryan Carlson used a bit of good fortune en route to a third Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models feature win during a 2011 campaign that is slowly shaping up in his favor.

"We definitely didn't have the best car out there," Carlson slyly grinned in victory lane.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Wednesday, July 6th, 2011) -- After getting a few days to breathe following an action-packed stretch of three consecutive holiday specials, fans wont be disappointed when they return to the legendary Rockford Speedway this Saturday night. In addition to the always exciting full slate of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing on Bobcat of Rockford Night, spectators will be gifted with a special treat: the return of Doug Rose and the Green Mamba Jet Car.

In his 49th year behind the cockpit of the behemoth, Rose will put on a pleasing display of power courtesy of his J46 jet engine pieced together from a Navy F7U Cutlass Fighter Plane. Burning over 37 gallons of jet fuel per minute, the jet car boasts a stunning top speed that exceeds 300 miles per hour.

(Monday, July 4th, 2011) -- On a holiday night reserved for firework spectaculars, family entertainment, and military tributes, the Rockford Speedway encompassed all three as a trio of former champions put on a show of their own en route to the winner's circle on the Fourth of July. Scott Lawver's machine fittingly sponsored by Cornelier Fireworks put on the best display of all, going toe-to-toe with a determined Matt Lundberg in one of the best Bargain Hunter Sportsman main events in a while before emerging victorious.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, July 2nd, 2011) -- Jon Reynolds Jr. finally capitalized -- the fast qualifier took advantage of an explosive ride and ended a string of bad luck that had held him winless into the month of July with a victory in the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models Nason's Landscaping 'Star Spangled 76' tonight at the Rockford Speedway. 'Driver X' certainly enjoyed taking the checkered flag after accepting the 'Gerber Collision & Glass Challenge' during pre-race ceremonies, starting in the back of the pack, and eventually driving to the front on the way to the winner's circle where he collected a cool grand on top of the normal payday reserved for the victor.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, June 25th, 2011) -- On a night upon which the Rockford Speedway Midseason Champions were crowned, invading Midwestern journeyman James Swan fended off two Rockford contenders en route to the winner's circle. Swan endured late race challenges from current points leader Ryan Carlson and two-time Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models champion Jerry Gille on the way to his first career late model victory on the high banks, grabbing the 30-lap showdown and throwing his name in the gauntlet for the title of Gilley's Cool 5 Series victor come October.
