LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, June 18th, 2011) -- On a night of destruction, Jerry Gille admitted he had to survive an encounter with the outside wall to find his way through a narrow hole en route to the winner's circle for the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models main event. With fans packed into the historic Rockford Speedway for the Kar Korner Original Trailer Race of Destruction, Gille wowed the crowd with his aggressive maneuvers amidst heavy traffic before the veteran tracked down Mark Hartline and made a late race pass for his second feature win of the season.

Dana Czach zipped to a Mtn Dew RoadRunner feature win over friend Alex Papini.

The American Super Cups series saw some close and fast racing action.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, June 11th, 2011) – Ryan Carlson probably couldn’t have dreamt a much better ending to his birthday than winding up in victory lane for a second consecutive weekend. There’s no need for ‘RC’ to dream however as the points leader set fast time, grabbed the early lead in the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models 30-lap main event, and held off a surging Tim Sargent late en route to a birthday celebration in the Rockford Speedway winner’s circle tonight.

Terry Ciano, Jr. saw his way was blocked in his heat race for the evening. Both cars were able to continue racing.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, June 4th, 2011) – Ryan Carlson needed to bounce back from last weekend’s mayhem that resulted in two wrecked cars – finding his way to victory lane in the 30-lap Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models main event certainly took care of that objective as the points leader held off a lightning fast Jerry Gille en route to his first feature win of 2011 at the Rockford Speedway.

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Saturday, May 28th, 2011) -- Jerry Gille didn't have his engine, didn't have the fastest car, and didn't have much of a lead with five laps remaining tonight at the Rockford Speedway. And yet, none of that really mattered because in the end, the former two-time Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models champion did what he often does, using some veteran guile to fend off a hard charging Jon Reynolds Jr. and find his way back to victory lane for the first time in 2011.

Race fans will have the chance to win $250 from Gilley’s Heating and Cooling this Saturday night at Rockford Speedway. Upon entering the speedway, fans will be invited to fill out an entry form before 8pm, selecting the top four finishers in order of the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Model feature, during Round I of the Gilley’s Cool 5 Series. A drawing will be held after the feature event of those that have the order correct, with $250 going to the winning fan, if the prize is not won it will carry over to the next Gilley’s Cool 5 event, Saturday June 25.

And while the flagstand may have been empty, the checkered flag still waved for Tim Sargent as the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models' defending champion made a late-race move to find his way back to victory lane and claim an emotional win on a night of healing.
