IT’S TIME TO OPEN THE 75TH SEASON AT ROCKFORD SPEEDWAY!

After a longer-than-it-needed to be winter…it’s finally time to get back to the racetrack!
This Saturday night May 7 marks the return of Saturday night racing at Rockford Speedway with the 75th NASCAR Season Opener!
Opening Night is sure to be an exciting night, with FIVE divisions on the schedule. The headlining race of the night is the $1,000 to win 30 lap feature race for the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, the first of four features this summer to payout four-figures to the winner. This Saturday night’s big-money Late Model main event is sponsored by Fitzgerald Equipment. A solid list of Late Model drivers are expected to be part of Opening Night, plus you never know if any surprises will show up…”Be There” Saturday night to find out who’s here and who wins all the dough.
The rest of the Saturday night lineup includes the Bargain Hunter Sportsmen, Miller Lite American Short Trackers, Windsor Pizza Parlor Roadrunners and the Kickstart Bandits. Gates open at 5 PM, with Qualifying at 5:55 PM. Opening Ceremonies get underway at 6:55 and the Green Flag waves on the new season at 7:07 PM. Adult admission is $15, Students (ages 12-17) are $13, Children (ages 6-11) are just $5 for the entire month of May, while Kids 5 and under are FREE.
After the races, make sure to hang around for the Post-Race Meet & Greet in the Pit Area! Fans of all ages will be able to take pictures, get autographs and get up close and personal with the stars of the show. Make sure to cap your Opening Night off the right way and stop down for a while.
‘LADIES NIGHT’ AND ‘KIDS NIGHT’ ON DECK
Next Saturday night May 14 is “Ladies Night” at Rockford Speedway, with Ladies admission just $7.50. Racing action next weekend includes the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Miller Lite American Short Trackers, Windsor Pizza Roadrunners, Kickstart Bandits and the American Super Cup Series. Bring the lady in your life to races next Saturday for “Ladies Night”…oh what a night!
The first of four “Kids Nights” takes place on Saturday night May 21, presented by Northwest Bank. All Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE on Kids Night and at Intermission there will be a Kids Coin Scramble, with all Kids 11 & under invited onto the track to participate! The Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsmen, Kickstarts Bandits will all be in action along with the return of the Original Sixers and the Bandit Figure 8!
