Heat 1 was won by Amanda Bohn and Heat 2 was won by Todd Bridges. With tonight being the prelude to the championship and only 25 points separating 5th to 1st place in points, this was a very important race for those cars in the top 5 in points. In the early going of the race Tim Finstad from Poynette, WI, got out the a really commanding lead until a caution flag flew as David Russell Jr who was running in the top 5, had his upper control arm fail , causing him to make contact with the wall and not able to continue on. This caused the field to reset. On the restart , Deschaine, was able to pass Finstad and never look back, getting the win. Top 5 1. Deschaine 2. Finstad 3. Shawn Bowar 4. Shawn Rickelman 5. Bridges

Heat 1 was won by Brock Baumbach and heat 2 was won by Randall Sadler. 19 points separated 1st and 2nd in points as its been a see- saw battle between Erik Pearson and Cody Armato in recent weeks. In the early going of the feature, it was Jeremy Watson who was leading the majority of the laps, with a handful of laps left, Braden set his sites to challenge Watson for the lead as these two would run side by side for 5-6 laps. Braden was able to get by Watson for the lead and Pearson would follow. Top 5 1. Braden 2. Watson 3. Armato 4. Schork 5. Todd Snow

“Fowler Brings Out The Broom, And The Toilet Paper”
Heat 1 was won by Gregg Batelli and Heat 2 was won by Austin Fowler. The Roadrunners also ran the “Outhouse” Challenge Race which a driver would race against the clock by starting at the start finish line and getting out of the car, then running and jumping a barrier wall and running inside of an outhouse grabbing a lot of toilet paper and running out and jumping the barrier wall. And getting into the car and racing their car around the track 1 lap. Fowler had fast time and a lot of toilet paper too. In the feature, Fowler got out to an early lead, but with about 5 laps to go Kevin Memoli had caught Fowler and the challenge was on. Coming out of turn 4 on the last lap it was now or never for Memoli as the 2 drivers would drag race to the finish line, but it was Fowler winning by a quarter of a car. In post race technical inspection the #3 of Memoli did not pass handing second position to Phil Speciale. Top 5 1. Fowler 2. Phil Speciale 3. Jeff Allendorf 4. Ryan Smith 5. Justin Wagner

The heat race was won by Rich Drangmeister of Crown Point, IN. In the feature it was Scott Koerner of Joliet, IL that got out to the lead. With about 3 laps to go, Koerner experienced engine issues that caused his to slow off the pace allowing Finley from Waterman, IL to take the lead and get his first feature win of the 2020 season at Rockford. The previous 2 features at Rockford had been won by Koerner. Top 5 1. Finley 2. Drangmeister 3. Koerner 4. Doug Orseske 5. Ken Drangmeister

“ Conniff Stuns The Crowd, Gets The Feature Win And Championship”
Heat 1 was won by Bryan Nalen Sr., Heat 2 was won by Mathew Nielson, Heat 3 was won by Trenton Sauer and Heat 4 was won by Bryan Nalen Jr. Only 22 points separated 4th and 1st place. Justin Tyler who was the points leader and Dakota Paris who was 3rd in points, both failed to transfer to the A Main event and had to race in the B Main feature. In The B Main event, only the top 4 would transfer to the feature. Paris was able to get the B Main win and Tyler was able to place in the top 4 and transfer also. Lots of drama ensued in the A Main as Tyler had issues and the 2nd place points car of David Cavin had issues as well, Both cars ended up at the tail end of the race as Tyler ended up being a lap down. Paris ended up having issues too and wasn’t able to finish the race. Dallas Conniff who was sitting in 4th place in points was able to win the feature and with everyone else in the top 4 in points having rough nights, Conniff was able to win his first ever championship. It was an emotional night for him as he thanked his family and friends for support. Top 5 in points ending the season: 1. Dallas Conniff 2. David Cavin 3. Justin Tyler 4. Dakota Paris 5. “Schneider Following Footsteps Of His Dad, Wins Another Championship”
34 points separated Nick Schneider and Cody Armato as it would come down to one of these drivers winning the championship. In the early going of the figure 8 it was Jeremy Watson with the Lead. Charles Schork would eventually get by Watson and getting the win. But it was the “Wild Child” Nick Schneider, winning the overall points championship. During the interview Schneider mentioned that his father the late Tom Schneider was the King of the figure 8.
